Patch and Chase
A balloon afraid of flying too low to the ground in fear of getting popped by sharp objects and a lonely boy whose adventures come with some risk may be the unlikeliest of friends. Still, as Patch and Chase soon find out, new experiences don't have to be scary if you have a friend along with you.
On Location
Kyle Steiner came up with the idea for Patched while walking on Main Street in Downtown Bozeman. From the time he saw a balloon floating through the air, wondering where it would land if it popped, to the final publication hitting shelves, Kyle worked with illustrator Yulian Mulyono to bring Montana to life in this book.
The story has scenes taking place in notable locations in and around Bozeman, including: Wild Joe’s Coffee Spot, the Hotel Baxter, Hyalite Reservoir, and Yellowstone National Park.
